Coreopsis auriculata 'Nana'Zone: 4 to 9. Full Sun. Mature size: 6 to 9 inches tall; spreads to 2 feet. Dwarf coreopsis forms dense, bushy, slowly-spreading clumps of short, broad-oval, shiny deep green leaves. Bright orange-yellow, daisy-like flowers are abundant in late spring to early summer. Sporadic blooms throughout the summer into fall, depending on the summer heat and deadheading. Trim flowers and foliage in mid to late summer to promote a fall rebloom. Easy to grow in most soil conditions; performs best in medium moisture, well-drained soil. Spreads by stolons, but is not considered to be invasive. Native to the southeast, 'Nana' is a low maintenance choice for border fronts, rock gardens, ground cover or for mass planting.
