English boxwood is a multi-stemmed, shallow-rooted shrub covered with small, rounded, glossy, dark green leaves. Flowers tend to be insignificant, but the plant has a very compact, tight habit which gives it a thick, even form when it is clipped.
Dwarf boxwood shrubs are widely used in formal landscape design.
